hello i am biddy. i am pleased to join the coffee lounge i am a 64 year --- lady with three grown children two are nurses a son and a daughter, one son with great western railways ( he did not get a proper train set when he was little so it has come to this).

Welcome to the community and thank you for telling us a little about you.  You story behind your train drivers career made me smile. Thank you for sharing. I hope you find the support you are looking for here on the Community and please feel free to post with us often as you wish and share as much or as little information as you are comfortable with.

How do you like your coffee? On cold damp days today my vote goes to an indulgent hot chocolate complete with marshmallows and cream

Hello

It is such a relief to find a support group to ask 'can you help me please' ?. To keep it brief: Mum (83) Motor Neurone Disease, severly disabled. Discharged from hospital due to coronavirus, should be at home with me. Nursing home applied for DOLS. Mum deteriorating fast in hospital. Mum in receipt of Continuing Healthcare funding.
Mum in receipt of palliative care and dying. Best Interest Meeting -hospital - home + funding. 3 months waiting to return home from hospital. Desperate for mum to die at home and fast. Julie.

What we can do is to provide you with a safe space to talk about the impact that this is having on your and about how you are feeling.
